Museums, nature reserves, farms, gardens and even cathedrals across Cambridgeshire are hosting their very own hunts that you can enjoy
Easter is just around the corner and that means it’s time to come up with some great activities you can do in nature with your loved ones. When it comes to Easter fun as a whole family, sometimes the traditional games are best and Cambridgeshire is bound to make your kids hop with joy.
Easter Egg Hunts with a proper prize at the end are the best part of the Easter holidays and, luckily for you, museums, nature reserves, farms, gardens and even cathedrals across Cambridgeshire are hosting their very own hunts that you can enjoy.

National Trust sites
All of the National Trust sites in Cambridgeshire are husting very exciting Ester Egg hunts and trails. There are over 190 Easter trails to choose from across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Every single National Trust Easter trail is different and celebrates nature, history and beauty. Follow winding garden paths, crash along muddy woodland trails or time travel with adventures to castles, towers, and mansions.
The locations in Cambridgeshire include:

- Wicken Fen Nature Reserve
Peterborough Cathedral
On Monday April 10 from 10:30am-3:15pm, there will be an egg-cellent Easter-themed trail for families inside and outside the Cathedral. Spot the egg-shaped clues, solve the puzzles and claim your prize: a full size, Fairtrade chocolate Egg!
You will need to purchase a ticket for this event. Tickets cost £5 each.

Burwell Museum and Windmill
On Sunday, April 9 from 10am-4pm, there will be an exciting egg hunt at the museum that will only cost £1 per child with a chocolate prize for every egg hunter. Find the numbered Easter Egg pictures hidden around the site and write down which part of the museum each egg picture is in against the same number on the supplied sheet. Please leave the egg pictures where you find them.
There will also be a free Easter bonnet competition. Make an Easter Bonnet and bring it to the museum on Easter Sunday, between 10am and 2pm. Judging will take place at 2pm. The winners will receive a chocolate prize each.

Chippenham Park, Newmarket
On Thursday, April 6 there will be a very exciting Easter egg hunt at Newmarket’s beautiful Chippenham Park from 10am-4pm. To enter the park adults will have to pay £7 but kids go free. Egg hunt entry is £5 per child.
A selection of red, blue and yellow bunnies will be hidden around the gardens. To win an egg, you need to find one of each colour bunny and head back to the kitchen garden to claim your prize! 3 x GOLDEN BUNNIES will be hidden – the lucky finders of one of these bunnies will receive an extra special egg! Keep your eyes peeled!

Botanic Gardens Cambridge
The Enchanted Egg Trail will be running especially for Easter from April 1-16. The secrets of the enchanted egg are hidden in the plants and places around the Garden. To join in the fun, pick up a free trail booklet on your way into the Garden and set off on a springtime adventure.
All clever adventurers who crack the code through the garden will receive a very special mysterious prize.

Sacrewell Heritage Farm, Peterborough
From April 1-9, Sacrewell Farm will be hosting nine days of Easter celebrations from 9am-4:30pm each day.
Enjoy plenty of sustainable Easter activities including:
- Easter story time
- Create a cardboard bird photo frame
- Self-led egg trail around Sacrewell and reward
- Create your own flower seed bomb
- Make a kite with Roland our resident artist
- Plant a bean seed and watch it grow
